Does your hotel offer any children’s programs?

Arrivals with children are thoughtfully noted to ensure a warm welcome. Ideally located within walking distance of family-friendly attractions—including the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, and the Museum of Discovery—the Capital Hotel makes it easy for families to explore downtown Little Rock. While formal children’s programming is offered during the Christmas season, in-room games, toys, and thoughtful amenities such as shortbread cookies and milk are available upon request year-round.

Is there on-site dining?

The Capital Hotel is home to two celebrated dining destinations: Capital Bar & Grill, Little Rock’s legendary watering hole, open daily for lunch and dinner, and One Eleven at the Capital, serving breakfast Monday through Friday and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. 

Are there dress restrictions in the restaurants?

While our restaurants do not have a formal dress code, we kindly ask that attire reflect the refined ambiance of our dining spaces

Is your hotel pet-friendly?

In consideration of the Capital Hotel's historic character and continuous upkeep, pets are not permitted as guests. Our front desk team would be delighted to assist with coordinating arrangements at nearby kennels.  

Just how big is the elevator?

No visit to the Capital Hotel is complete without a ride in our unusually spacious elevator. Legend has it that the oversized cab was designed so President Ulysses S. Grant could ride his horse directly to his guestroom. While delightfully imaginative, the tale is historically inaccurate, as elevators had yet to be invented during the President’s stay on April 15, 1880. Even so, the story remains a beloved part of our lore.

Is there an on-site spa?

At present, the Capital Hotel does not have an on-site spa. Day-spa arrangements, including black car transportation, are easily coordinated by our front desk team.  

What are some activities to do in Little Rock?

Beyond the River Market District and the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, downtown Little Rock offers a rich tapestry of museums, historic landmarks, and walkable streets—all just steps from the Capital Hotel. Guests can explore the city on foot or enjoy curated outdoor adventures, from riverfront strolls to kayaking, biking, or paddle board rentals. For a more leisurely experience, private pontoon boat tours along the Arkansas River offer a picturesque perspective of the city. Shopping ranges from charming local boutiques to larger retail destinations across town. How many rooms are there?

The Capital Hotel in Little Rock features 94 elegantly appointed guest rooms, including eleven junior suites and four grand suites. Accessible accommodations are also available to ensure comfort for all guests. 

What are the views?

While select rooms on the hotel’s upper front floors offer glimpses of the Arkansas River, most guest rooms overlook downtown Little Rock. Interior-facing rooms enjoy views of the beautifully landscaped courtyard, designed by renowned landscape architect P. Allen Smith. 

Are any of the rooms connecting?

Do you offer pay-per-view?

Although pay-per-view is not available, we are pleased to offer a variety of complimentary channels for your enjoyment, along with WorldVue, a secure in-room entertainment platform that enables guests to stream personal content by logging into streaming apps. 

Is there a fitness center?

Guests of the Capital Hotel enjoy complimentary access to the Downtown Fitness Center, conveniently located directly across Louisiana Street. This fully staffed health club features a comprehensive selection of state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

What are the in-room amenities?

Each guest room at the Capital Hotel is thoughtfully appointed with in-room safes, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, HD LCD televisions, and working desks with computer hookups, along with complimentary wireless and wired internet access. Nespresso machines provide a welcome boost at any hour, while fully stocked minibars offer the perfect way to unwind. Is there a pool?

As a designated historic landmark, the Capital Hotel preserves its original architectural integrity, which precludes the addition of a swimming pool.

At the Capital Hotel, each season brings thoughtfully curated events, celebrating holidays in our signature Southern Comfortable style. From monthly intimate wine dinners to festive Easter and Mother’s Day brunches and our grand Thanksgiving Day Buffet, there’s always something to celebrate on the Front Porch of Little Rock.
